The 4th grade students at GREEN Charter School had an exciting, overnight adventure on September 25. They spent the night at The RiverBanks Zoo! 75 students and chaperones packed their sleeping bags and headed to the zoo. They were treated with a behind the scenes evening tour, and a Conservation program. Highlights of the trip included a Zookeeper’s tour of the barn where the tigers were fed and tended to. Another adventure the children experienced was visiting the back of the aquarium and observing the feeder fish tanks plus a view from the top of shark tank. Sneaking up on a sleeping gorilla was also very exciting! Spending the night at the zoo is one of many experiential learning activities that is offered at GREEN Charter School.
