With all the craziness and unfortunate things in the world, I want to create a place where students feel safe and learn to love and accept one another. I also make it a goal to instil confidence and self worth in my students. That’s why I love kindergarten, I feel like it is a prime age start positively impacting them so they can grow into awesome people...and they also make me laugh on a daily basis.

I started my career as a middle school Language Arts teacher and worked in the 7th grade for four years. My career culminated as a senior level English teacher at a leading private high school in Miami, FL. In that assignment, I facilitated the learning process for the hundreds of college bound students that took my classes throughout my ten year employment at the school .
In addition to teaching English, I have also taken on the task of teaching a few other courses. As the journalism teacher, I spearheaded efforts to revive the school’s newspaper and instructed students in the principles of print media as well as layout and graphic design basics. Moreover, I developed the curriculum for a Public Speaking class in which I mentored students on how to successfully address an audience and accomplish the many types of speaking required in today’s world.
In the summer of 2015, my family and I relocated to South Carolina. After securing my status as a state certified teacher in South Carolina, I was fortunate enough to take an English position at GREEN Charter School where I am now part of the high school and middle school team. During my time at GREEN, I have taught both middle school and high school English as well as Public Speaking.
